Valentia Promenade, Denver, CO
The Valentia Promenade is the central pedestrian spine of the Conservatory Green neighborhood in North Stapleton providing a connection from the Northfield shopping district, through a series of public parks. The overall inspiration of the North Stapleton Park system was driven by the inherent qualities of the native Sandhill prairies that once dominated this site and the incredible human ingenuity needed to make this harsh but delicate landscape livable and productive. Environmental sustainability, bold and memorable landforms and challenging cost constraints were driving factors in the design and this creative vision transformed this potentially overlooked strip into a memorable experience.
