A Park for All Seasons

Central Commons Park is a true every-season destination designed to activate the public realm year-round. Summer amenities include a splash pad, open lawns, and picnic areas, while winter features warming zones, a custom 50-foot linear fire feature, and a seasonal refrigerated skating rink atop the central lawn, encouraging outdoor activity in all weather. Inspired by the tectonic forces of the nearby Rocky Mountains, the park’s sharp, angular forms integrate landscape and architecture in collaboration with Gibbs Gage Architects. In 2023, the project was recognized as one of Fast Company’s Top 3 Urban Design International Projects.
